Production Log Week 1

In this week, we were introduced to a booklet which gave us a guide on what we will be doing in Year 13 media studies. One of these things were a music video which we were told we would have to do at a certain point. Also, in this week we learnt about theorists such as Laura Mulvey's male gaze theory, Stuart Hall's representation theory and many others. All of this knowledge gain this week has enable due tog win an understanding of how different types of music videos are and the styles that are required to ensure a music video is good and rememberable for that target audience. We also looked at how stars are represented in some ways which are as embodiments and merchandise and how they appeal tot heir target audience through costumes and things that they produce which would appeal to their target audience and make them mote noticeable. Everything i was taught this week has allow due to understand how effective artists are when producing their music videos to their target audience.
